George Callander has written for a number of publications over the years, including: Best of British Magazine; International History of Nursing Journal; the British Journal of Nursing and Psychologies Magazine. He is a regular columnist for Welfare World, (the journal of the Institute of Welfare), and for four years George was a monthly columnist for the professional journal, the Funeral Service Times.

George Callander is also the author of In the Midst of Life: Reflections on bereavement and As Each Day Ends: Reflections of Night’s Unfolding. In 2017, George contributed a chapter to a book entitled Our Christian Faith. He has had several original prayers and reflections published in the UK and USA, and to date has published one pantomime script, Aladdin. He is currently writing a second pantomime based on the legend of King Arthur, and is also working on a comedy murder mystery novel featuring two middle-aged lady detectives with ‘a past…’
